My Dell does not have a parallel port. When I try to install, my computer does not find my printer.I bought a parallel to USB cable in order to connect my old HP 672c printer but it won't install. Any help???
THAT IS A BIG PROBLEM! I had that very same problem when trying to mate my iMAC (USB only) with an old HPSC500 (parallel port only). The print was very fuzzy and pictures were completely discolored. You could try downloading updated drivers from HP-if still available. But, my guess is that it's time for a printer with a USB port. Most have had them since the early 2000s.
